Toscana IGT. Medium-bodied, with medium tannins, flavours of wild cherries and blackberries, subtle sweet spices, dried herbs, some oakiness. A superb food wine. This wine is from Tenuta Il Palagio, the all-organic Tuscan wine estate run by Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

Varietals: Sangiovese 70%, Syrah 15%, Merlot 15%, sourced between Florence & Siena.

Food match: Superb with rich red roast meats, pasta and ragu sauce. (and the right sound track!)
